Most of the Bollywood movies are junk ( vulgar dances etc.) . As more and more people mature in the north, the market for stars like SRK will dwindle. I request everybody to follow classic Bengali/Mallu movies.
Does it matter? People love those movies.
Though we do see quality movies these days. the reason for junk is because the sheer number. They are high and thats why quality movies seem to look like they are few. Bollywood banks a lot on presentation of the movie and thats whjy they need to follow the "formula" which may look funny and absurd.
A lot of American movies are also crap, only few are worth watching.
Just like how everyone wants to code in Java, a lot of people want to get into the film industry and not everyone or everything is like what you want them to be.
What I say is "Lets stop junking things" Lets look at ourselves and see what we have achieved what the starts have not achieved

Wake up, buddy. This is IV. Not !
Removal of Country caps was, is and will be one of the top agendas of IV , whether beneficiaries of a discriminatory system like you support it or not. It's morally and ethically repugnant to see discrimination based on country of birth in the 21st century. Just because it benefits some like you, it doesn't become right.
Employability has nothing to do with Country of Birth. When we are selected based on merit, skill and education by our employer, why should we suffer just because we are born in the wrong country?
It's time to throw away this last vestige of discrimination inherited from the previous centuries and move to a future where every individual is valued for what he/she is individually and not based on whether he was born in India or Sri Lanka.
Only India and China & one or two more countries will support the removal of country limit. The rest of the world will actually oppopse this move as it will have a negative impact on their processing times greatly.
There was a discussion on this on sometime ago.

Guys, I've heard (and only heard - don't red me now) that Cognizant has its H-1Bs being rejected and I've heard as far as this that some of the people in Cognizant who got green card through EB-1 category have been deported due to investigation after complaints regarding misuse of EB-1 category by these companies.
has anyone else heard the same?

So that interprets to "7% limit for every country" - seems to be "Equality"
does not seem "Equality" at all, not to me.
as most of us here, I think this is something we should explore. I think this is a complete discrimination and if US wants to limit/diversify within EB category as well (which I think is absurd to start with, because this is employment based, all that should count is your credentials/education... ) then it should be somehow proportionate to the country size/population as well.

But that shouldn't stop us from visiting this site.
As for deleting my id and this thread. If it it happens then it emphasizes the fact that IMV is no different than corrupt YSR.
If you guys(dealsnet, breddy2000) can't make any sensible contribution to this discussion..keep away from it.

First of all, I am neither a donor nor a person interested in spending any of my time & energy (Except filing documents and visiting forums like IV once in a while to check progress) in running behind this GC stuff, as thats not my priority-simple. But I wish and would really be happy if I get my GC quicker as it got its benefits. Having said that, I am not against any kind of efforts volunteered by people/group, who are very serious about GC and I really respect and appreciate their efforts, but I think I have the freedom to express my sincere opinion.
Plainspeak really make some sense here because sometimes just getting satisfied with a patch up solution would be a bigger disaster in longer run. As person being here in US for a decade and being in the GC Queue for half a decade, I strongly believe EB2-I is never going to be current anymore and EB3-I is never going to get any spill over from the DV bill if passed in its current format. So the option left here is either take whatever you get and hope for the best OR (EB2 and EB3) together fight/work for the right thing to happen, instead of being silent just because you may be a beneficiary of the current format, though its not right. I hope everyone here will agree and accept that the right thing would be EB-3 getting at least 50% of spill over whatever EB-2 gets. IV may not succeed in that effort but IV being silent can never be justified.
Also Volunteering is something which you do for the benefit of others without any expectation and I really appreciate all the volunteers here for their efforts but, some of them often directly/indirectly pass derogatory comments on non-donors and non-volunteers especially when they differ on views and immediately they ask, how many congress men you met? Which is inappropriate and its like saying either agree with what we say or shut up, if you are a not a volunteer or donor. And nothing wrong in you having a policy like that but in that case you can restrict the write access to only volunteers and donors. I am also totally against any non-donors/non-volunteers making derogatory comments on volunteers/donors as they deserve more appreciation than derogatory comments for what they do.

hehehe, i dont think the sentence is too light - the US Prison system has so many jokes about the kinds of characters inside them...Hope this mandalapa guy gets a 'great' roomie - Once he comes out he would think twice about 'screwing' genuine GC applicants then - know what i mean??!!!!
He is going to India after prison. The paper says he is being deported after he gets out of prison.
So he wont be touching anyone's GC application ever.

What use is this thread? How does it serve the purpose of IV. I see emotions flaring up time and again with every "incident" that media sensationalizes. Its high time administrators here took control of our messaging otherwise anti-immigrants are soon going to pounce on this. I sense an under-current of hatred in some posts as well. I am going to stop coming here if this mindless stuff does not get stopped from being posted. Personally I don't even think that forum should be on the home page.

I am not saying that the AP cannot be used again, but it cannot be used after the Validity on the AP which is 1 year from the Issue date and the date on the I-94 doesn't have any meaning.
For example
My AP was issued on Oct 18th 2007 and I can use it to travel till Oct 17th 2008. But people are saying that they are issued an I-94 with a date which is 1 year from the date they enter/use the AP.
But my concern is that I was issued an I-94A which doesn't have any date on it. Should I be concerned about that?
AP's are generally issued for multiple trips. I am little confused by your question. Could you please specify why is it that you think that you cannot use the AP again.

One important point that we seem to be missing is that there are about 50,000 Indian STUDENTS (like yours truly) who come to the US each year. Most of them are grad students and invariably all of them apply for EB based GC......think about it : 50,000 students each year and even if you assume half apply for GC - that makes it 100,000 PRIMARY GC applicantions from India alone over a four year period - staggering number........
However, these students are not completely exempted from the H1B quota for each year. Whatever, if PERM filing in year 2008 has witnessed 46% drop since 2007 ... it tells us a lot.
