Every time someone asks them to do something, they flash the USC on their ass.
It worked a couple of times at welfare. After that, and at all other places, everyone U-R-I-N-A-T-E-S on their USC.
as per some misguided folks in USCIS going after the h1b consulting companies will DRAMATICALLY improve the job market for locals here. However the truth is that it is not going to help the locals.

Hello Sir/Madam,
Recently I have E-Filed for EAD renew and have sent all the supporting documents the following day. But I have recieved an RFE for the photos I haven't sent along with the documents and asked me submit 2 color passport photos. It was my understading that I don't have to send the photos while E-filing since they will be taken at the bio-metric appt. I am done with my bio-metric appt. Do i need to contact USCIS about this or is there any thing you can suggest me.

I have come to USA last year and was getting paid consistently till May31. Now, on July 2nd new employer (not a desi, but a big company) applied for transfer on premium processing. I'm continuing with my old employer, and they are marketing me, and have all such emails. Just wanted to know whether the paystub will be an issue for transfer? And how soon can I join them, and what is the risk if I join them now, before I wait for response from INS?
Any response in this regard will be highly appreciated.

This indeed is a very bad news. It looks to me that someone is frying a bigger fish here...
If antis target the areas of immigration that are no "well defined" so far (H1b rules is one example, another could be AC21 same or similar job and yet another could be "permanent job" after greencard), it could create a lot of problems and may even practically shut down all legal immigration.
This will only increat outsourcing and actually hurt US economy and jobs...too bad that "blinded" politicians do not recognize this.

Guys.. can one of you please suggest a good Canadian PR processing company? I keep getting mails from cr@protechimmigration.com. Is Protech good?

DO NOT go through any of these agencies. they just put additional delays in your PR processing. I got my Canadian PR in 14 months without any professional help.
On an average, they will charge $3000 and cause an additional delay of 3-6 months in your case
And they are not 'PR Processing' companies. They just forward your application to the CIC.

Well, if you are not ready to lead and we do not have anyone else to lead then whats the point of forming the yahoo group? Please don't get me wrong, I am just trying to find out the objective of this yahoo group.

I have enough on my plate (I am still helping a number of people fighting in district an appellate courts). Also I think it's easier to discuss it via yahoo group.

Imagine the situation 3 countries supplying 90% of required labor and rest of the world 10%... This 7% limit screws things there. If US can find laboe "Equally" from every hemisphere and evry country.. 7% limit will work without a question. Otehrwise it would not work and hurt the economy badly.

Hi,
Mine and my spouse I-485 has been current for over two months, We are on EB1 and our I485 receipt notice date was may 8 2007. The center is currently processing aug 2007 applications. My lawyer sent an inquiry 60 days ago and there has been no response from USCIS.
Please advice what i could do to find out why my processing has been delayed.

You can call the USCIS yourself or ask your attorney to do so or make an Infopass appointment to find the status of your application.

The Problem is isolating EB-2 India from the Perm Approvals.
EB2 were ~ 35% of India approvals between Mar-05 to Oct-05, then it ramped up to ~65% - 70% for most of FY 2006.
Total EB2 IN cases per year 2006 onwards were north of 18,000, which implies at least 40,000 Visas including dependants.
Method: Apply filters for - Approved - India - Level I - bakers, cooks, elementary school teachers etc.
This will slightly overestimate the EB2 IN numbers.
Remember to remove the previous year's applicants as their PD will be the previous year, add them to the prev. year's estimate.

A GC cannot be filed directly from a TN or E3 status.
As mihird said, not much difference. I am a naturalized Canadian working in US for last 7 years (country of birth � India) � Canadian citizenship does not help much in I485 stage since you will fall under the quota of country of birth. One small advantage is consular processing � Canadians can apply for CP at Montreal which used to be faster. But with retrogession and improved AOS processing in USA makes this irrelevant.
Another general advantage is use of TN1 visa instead of H1B. You can actually start/continue green card processing while in TN1 visa status � it needs some careful planning but it can be done. Basically you cannot get/renew TN1 visa once I-485 is filed but until then you can continue on TN1 while your labor/140 is under process and while you are waiting for the dates to get current. But this aspect is generally misunderstood and many lawyers insist on transferring to H1B even before starting the labor process (which happened in my case leading to my present state where I am extending h1b beyond 6th/7th year). Basically with a good lawyer and flexible employer you can use TN1 as long as possible, so that you don�t get into 6th/7th year h1b tensions � this can be a slight advantage in some cases.

No one cares who the heck is he...when dozens of people dying without food and because of drought, GOI has better jobs to do rather than going after the BCP for this moron. How many times Ambika Soni cared about normal people are suffered in security check. We are still struck colonial mentality and hero worship. This crap is happening only in india. They are expecting the same from US as well.

Finally he got what he deserved..I wish that US won't deport him..He should spend rest of his life in Federal Prison only.If he goes back to india(AP)..he will open one more company and do the same things.His uncle is famous telugu actor and was a member of parliament also..so he will get all the help he needs.I pray to god that he should be in US federal Prision for rest of his life...

Nobody is denying US is a better country at this point of time financially. Canada is no comparison. But the issue is do we want to continue living like prisoners in the US or seek opportunity else where? I think if opportunity comes knocking at your door grab it bc US is going throught it's xenophobic phase.
